Opportunity overview

As a Senior Business Analyst at Cloudfide, you will be embedded in a complex, multi-workstream project for a Fortune 500 client from the FMCG industry, supporting their R&D division. You'll work across a platform that spans multiple engineering disciplines - from AI and data engineering to frontend and backend delivery - where the business challenge is as important as the technical one.

This is not a role for requirements-takers. You'll step into an environment where business needs are partially defined, stakeholders have competing perspectives, and the real challenge lies in discovering what the business actually needs - not just what it asks for. You'll work directly with our project lead, serving as the bridge between the client's business domain and our technical teams, translating complex operational realities into clear, actionable requirements.

Expect a collaborative, AI-forward environment where thinking outside the box is encouraged and your proactivity is genuinely valued. You'll join a team of passionate engineers who value technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conducting deep discovery work - mapping as-is processes, facilitating workshops, and building to-be models using BPMN and tools like Miro or Lucidchart.

  • Producing solid, structured documentation: BRDs, user stories with acceptance criteria, use cases, and process diagrams that serve both business and technical audiences.

  • Managing the product backlog in Azure DevOps - creating, refining, and prioritizing requirements in close collaboration with the project lead and client stakeholders.

  • Framing ambiguous problems using hypothesis-driven techniques and MoSCoW scoping to bring structure to undefined or evolving requirements.

  • Facilitating stakeholder workshops and interviews, surfacing unstated needs through sharp questioning and active listening.

  • Reading and interpreting architecture and integration diagrams - translating technical constraints into business language and vice versa.

  • Driving scope control diplomatically - pushing back when needed, aligning stakeholders around what matters most.

  • Leveraging AI tools in day-to-day work to enhance productivity and documentation quality.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a consulting or outsourcing environment.

  • Proven ability to work in exploratory or R&D contexts where requirements start undefined and evolve throughout delivery.

  • Strong BPMN process modeling skills - as-is/to-be analysis is a must-have, not a nice-to-have.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for requirements management and backlog ownership.

  • Solid documentation skills: BRDs, user stories with acceptance criteria, use cases - clear, structured, and audience-appropriate.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and confidence operating within iterative delivery cycles.

  • Hypothesis-driven mindset - comfortable with shifting scope, incomplete information, and problems that don't yet have a shape.

  • Enough technical literacy to read architecture and integration diagrams and engage meaningfully with engineering teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills - able to navigate complex client relationships, align competing priorities, and maintain trust.

  • Business acumen to understand the why behind requirements, not just the features being requested.

  • Self-directed and reliable - capable of operating with minimal hand-holding in a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Fluent English, with the ability to communicate clearly across both business and technical contexts.

Nice to Have

  • CBAP or CCBA certification - a strong plus.

  • PSPO or CSPO certification.

  • Familiarity with Jira as an additional backlog tool.

  • Experience with Miro or Lucidchart for collaborative process mapping.

  • Azure-context familiarity (Azure services, cloud-native environments).
